# Privacy policy

## Who we are

Axil Tech (Axil Tech Pty Ltd, ABN 87 661 578 203) provides network and cyber security consulting services in Australia. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we handle personal information.

## What we collect

- Contact details you provide: name, business name, email, phone, role
- Information you submit through forms, meeting bookings or email
- Technical information about your organisation's systems, gathered during an engagement and under a written agreement
- Website usage data including IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site

## How we collect it

Directly from you when you contact us, book a meeting, submit a form or engage our services. Automatically through our website via cookies and analytics. Occasionally from third parties such as referral partners, where you have consented.

## Why we collect it

To respond to enquiries, provide and deliver our services, issue invoices, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and – where you have opted in – send relevant updates. We do not sell personal information.

## Client system information

During an engagement we may access configuration data, logs and system information belonging to your organisation. This is handled under the confidentiality terms of our engagement agreement, accessed on a least-privilege basis, and retained only as long as necessary to deliver the engagement and support any subsequent dispute or audit requirement.

## Disclosure

We may disclose personal information to service providers who support our operations (including HubSpot for CRM and website hosting, our cloud productivity and email provider, and our accounting and billing software provider), professional advisers, and to anyone else where you have consented or we are required by law. Some providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

## Security

We apply the controls we recommend to clients – multi-factor authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, endpoint protection and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps proportionate to the sensitivity of what we hold.

## Data breaches

We maintain an incident response plan. Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

## Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. Engagement records are generally retained for seven (7) years.

## Cookies

Our website uses cookies for functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work correctly.

## Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us at [hello@axiltech.com.au](mailto:hello@axiltech.com.au). We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

## Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us at [hello@axiltech.com.au](mailto:hello@axiltech.com.au) and we will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

## Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available at axiltech.com.au/privacy.
